Central Texas Digital Consortium - Libby/Overdrive*
The East Travis Gateway Library District is a member of the Central Texas Digital Consortium. This service entitles all ETGLD patrons to access free Audiobooks and eBooks via Overdrive. Logging in is simple: click on Sign In, choose “East Travis Gateway Library District” as your library, then enter your library card number and password (your ten-digit phone number). Each account is allowed to check out 5 items at any time and keep each for 2 weeks at a time.

Now you have found an item to borrow, how do you listen to it or read it? The Overdrive or Libby app will need to be downloaded in order to use your selections. Each app will give you the same access but the Overdrive app can be downloaded on more types of devices including your computer if it is compatible. Libby is intended for Android and Apple phones and tablets.

Mango*
Looking to learn a new language? Mango is the perfect app for you! On our catalog's homepage under "Electronic Resources", you'll find a link to Mango Languages. Once you go to the Mango webpage, you'll need to create an account (it requires your email address, ETGLD library card number, and for you to create a password). From there you will be able to select which one of the 70+ langauges they offer that you want to learn.

Using your ETGLD library account, you will be able to check out materials from other libraries around the state of Texas! Interlibrary Loan or "ILL" for short is a great way to access materials beyond your home library, you can find anything from bestsellers to research materials all over the state! In order to access this resource, please log in to your library account before clicking the link for "Texas ILL System".

TexShare is a very popular library feature that helps patrons access libraries across the state with only one library card. This library card is available through the ETGLD for patrons in good standing who have been a card holding member of the ETGLD for a minimum of 3 months. You can fill out an online application for our library card here (click on Sign Up in the top right hand corner) or by stopping by one of our libraries.

The Texas Talking Book program, "TBP" for short, provides free library services for Texans with blindness or visual, physical, or reading disabilities. Registered TBP users may borrow books and magazines in digital audio, Braille, and large print. Registration is done through the TBP.

When you create a Goodreads account (free!) you will be able to look up reviews of books from those who have read them and also find books similar to others that you have read and loved.
